Dr. Letitia Edwards, DDS
Dr. Edwards has always been drawn to kids. Before dental school she taught dance camp at her local studio and helped out in her church’s daycare, where she loved watching children grow in confidence, friendship and resilience.
She was also fascinated by biology and how our bodies grow and work. Pediatric dentistry brought the two together. Today she cares for kids from their first tooth through their teen years, with care that fits each child’s age and comfort level.
Her calm, gentle style puts anxious kids at ease, and nervous parents too. She keeps exams short and saves most of the visit for your questions.

When should my child first see a dentist?
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by age one, or within six months of the first tooth coming in. Dr. Edwards is happy to see babies, toddlers and older kids.
What happens at the first visit?
Your child can play in the kids corner while you fill out a few forms. Dr. Edwards gets to know you, does a short and gentle exam, and spends most of the visit answering your questions. Every visit ends with a sticker and a prize.
My child is nervous. How do you help?
Dr. Edwards takes things slowly and keeps visits calm and short. For some kids, a little laughing gas (nitrous oxide) helps them relax during treatment. We will always talk with you about options first.
Which days does Dr. Edwards see kids?
Dr. Edwards sees kids on select days each week. Call us and our front desk will find a time that works for your family.
Can parents be seen the same day?
Yes. Dr. Christopher Martinez sees adults and teens in the same office. Let us know who is coming and we will book everyone back to back or at the same time.
Do you take our insurance?
We accept most major PPO plans, including Delta Dental, MetLife, Cigna, Aetna, Guardian, United Healthcare, Anthem and GEHA. Call us at (702) 777-4700 and we will check your coverage.
What should we bring?
Bring your insurance card. At the visit we’ll give you a new patient folder with intake forms and tips for caring for your child’s teeth at home.
